UCSF Divisional Academic Senate Vote: Bylaw Revisions

Three different Senate Committees, and the Registrar's Office, have put forth revisions to Senate bylaws governing the three respective committees, and a regulation governing Course Repetitions.

Revisions recommended are listed below:

1. Academic Planning & Budget (bylaw 112.A.2-3)

    • Adding in missing ex officio members who already attend the meetings; deleting an unnecessary bylaw (112.A.3).

2. Committee on Educational Policy (bylaw 115.C.)

    • To clarify to whom Divisional CEP reports to on systemwide and Divisional matters.

3. Equal Opportunity Committee (bylaw 122.A.2-4, and A.6)

    • To eliminate bylaws with out-of-date practices.

4. Senate Regulation 775(H).

    • The Registrar's Office raised questions about an incorrect reference within this regulation. The proposed revision corrects the reference within 775(H) to refer to paragraph (I), rather than--as currently stated--paragraph (G).
