UC Regents Report on the State Audit
UC Regents Report and Investigation into the Office of the President’s (UCOP) Handling of the State Audit: At a special November 2017 UC Regents meeting on the UCOP’s handling of the State Audit, the UC Regents admonished President Napolitano for agreeing to a plan that led to interference with the State Audit. Specifically, Regents Chair George Kieffer said in a statement that her approval of a plan that allowed Napolitano’s aides to preview campus administrators’ confidential survey responses “reflected poor judgement.” President Napolitano has apologized for her actions in statement, following an Independent Fact-Finding Review for the Board of Regents by former state Supreme Court Justice Carlos Moreno and the Hueston Hennigan law firm.
