Committee on Faculty Welfare and HR People Wellness Team Up for Mental Health
Mental health impacts our ability to thrive at work and beyond. At UCSF, we recognize that well-being is central to advancing health, discovery, and education. This event supports UCSF’s broader commitment to a culture of care, equity, and inclusion.

Caterina Mosti, PhD
Chair of the Academic Senate Committee on
Faculty Welfare
"Mental health challenges can directly affect our ability to teach, discover, and care. As the faculty’s voice in shared governance, the Academic Senate is committed to ensuring our colleagues have the support they need to fully engage in UCSF’s academic mission.”
If you’ve ever struggled to find the right support—whether for yourself, a loved one, a patient, or a colleague—you're not alone. That’s why UCSF HR People Wellness and the Academic Senate Committee on Faculty Welfare are hosting a Mental Health Town Hall to make it easier to connect with the resources you need.

From caregiving stress to systemic barriers in accessing care, many in the UCSF community are navigating increased mental health challenges. Recent federal research funding cuts, the UC-wide hiring freeze, and growing clinical and academic workloads have only intensified these pressures.
