His far-reaching contributions to statistical analysis have also been recognized by students. Dr. McCulloch teaches the five-lecture biostatistics sequence to the entire medical school student class.  He also teaches a repeated measures and longitudinal data component of the Advanced Training in Clinical Research (ATCR) and Masters in Clinical Research (MCR) programs.Dr. McCulloch received his Ph.D. in Statistics from Cornell University in 1980.  He joined the UCSF faculty in 2000 as a Professor of Biostatistics and Head of the Division of Biostatistics. He is a Fellow of the American Statistical Association and an elected member of the International Statistical Institute.
