UCSF Graduate Council Proposed Bylaw Change
The Graduate Council committee proposed a bylaw change to its membership requirement that two members have M.D. degrees. The committee wanted to delete this as a requirement, but not reduce the number of members which would still stand at thirteen. The committee still encourages those with M.D. degrees to serve on the Graduate Council, but if no such investigators are available or interested in serving, the committee invites those investigators from other UCSF schools. This bylaw change will take effect for the 2010-2011 academic year.
